Message from the Director

Dear New Redcoats and Berlin High School Families,

Thank you for visiting our website, and for your interest in becoming members of the Berlin High School Redcoat Band! The Berlin High School Band program exists to provide high quality music education and memorable, music-making experiences for all students who decide to join.

Our student members often refer to the Redcoat Band as a family, and the reasons why are clear. At its core, the Redcoat Band is a musical ensemble, but our success as a group of musicians is a direct result of the welcoming community that our students and staff have created. Any of our current members and alumni will tell you that the relationships you build, and the friendships that you shape are what make the experience of being in the Redcoat Band special. As the director, I could not be more proud of the close-knit, family culture that exists in this program.

Music education can be remarkably transformative in its capacity to help shape both the musical and social experiences of young people in school. As members of the Redcoat Band, you will encounter a diverse repertoire of music, perform often, have opportunities to travel, build lasting relationships, and make memories that you will cherish forever.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to send me an email or call my office. I am so looking forward to having you join us. Go Redcoats!
